About Us
For Multiserve, success means the customer always comes first.
When speaking with the staff at Multiserve Petroleum Equipment Ltd., the phrase that keeps coming to mind is "customer service."
This is the philosophy that owner, Jeff McMackin, has instilled in his company since its' inception in 1997.
"We take pride in customer service and our aim is to satisfy our customers, both big and small. We strive to have something for everyone."
This philosophy has enabled Multiserve to become a major player in the petroleum equipment industry in Atlantic Canada.
In September, 2002 Multiserve moved their operation to a larger facility 9120 Highway 14 in Milford.
Conveniently located just off Exit 9, Highway 102, the move to the new location has enabled Multiserve
to keep a larger quantity of stock on hand to ensure prompt delivery of product to their customers.
Owner McMackin has been in the petroleum equipment business since 1978 and brings many years of expertise to Multiserve. The company supplies a full line of equipment to the industry; from tanks that store the product, to the nozzle you use to fuel your vehicle and everything in between. Petroleum storage tanks, waste oil storage systems, petroleum dispensing
equipment, environmental
and inventory management controls, cardlock and keylock systems as well as a complete line of lubrication systems are available.
Typically, Multiserve begins their association with a new client by doing a site inspection to determine
the clients' specific needs and requirements.
A proposal is then prepared and submitted to the client based on those needs and outlining the costs involved.
Once the client has accepted the proposal, the order for the necessary equipment is placed, ensuring the customer's needs are fulfilled.
Detail is very important, since all components must be matched to provide the most efficient operation as well as meeting all stringent environmental regulations.
“We provide our tank manufacturer with our clients exact requirements and he then provides us with drawn specifications for the clients’ approval,”
Multiserves involvement doesn’t end with the ordering of material and equipment, but continues right up until the project is completed, and beyond.
They keep in close contact with the manufacturers to ensure equipment arrives on time and follow up with subcontractors as the job progresses.
“We work closely with qualified subcontractors, one on one, to make sure everything is done to our customer’s satisfaction”, .
Multiserve is also constantly involved in after sales service. As with any mechanical device, maintenance issues will arise.
Multiserve uses qualified subcontractors to perform service or warranty work when the need arises. They keep in close contact with the subcontractor to insure the customer is satisfied with any work completed.
In addition to supplying the petroleum industry, Multiserve also provides technical service and support to Atlantic Canada cardlock sites to ensure the systems are kept up and running even after business hours.
Multiserve is a distributor for Dresser-Wayne pumps, dispensers and computerized systems. Wayne manufactures pumps ranging from commercial dispensers for the Cardlock Sites to single hose units for small single tank installation, as well as multi product high hose blending units such as those supplied and installed at many Wilson’s Gas Stops.
When it comes to tanks, Multiserve proudly represents Dugas Equipment Ltd., a licensed tank manufacturer located in Caraquet, NB. Dugas can provide specialized fabrication for everything from small utility, mobile, offshore refueling tanks, all the way up to the larger in ground or above ground storage tanks found at service stations and bulk plants. They are the only U.L.C. large tank manufacturer in New Brunswick and one of only two such manufacturers in Nova Scotia.
Dugas Equipment is also a DNV certified facility, offering their excellent quality tanks and products to the offshore industry.
They are also able to supply HDP over steel tanks. HDP is a High Density Polyethylene doubler, which goes over a steel tank and eliminates the need for cathodic protection. Although Multiserve relies on the petroleum industry for a good deal of their business, they are by no means the only clients they serve. Their customers also include businesses such as farming, fishing, logging operations, trucking companies, auto dealerships, aviation, offshore and many other types of industry.
Multiserve is an exclusive factory warehouse for Samson Lubrication Equipment in Atlantic Canada. As such, they carry a large selection of inventory to better serve their customers and expedite orders. The Samson Lubrication line includes high pressure grease pumps, gear and lube oil pumps, hand pumps, hoses, reels, bench tanks, mechanical and electronic control handles as well as a host of lube and grease fi ttings.
Multiserve can also provide complete centralized lubrication systems and recently supplied and installed such a system for Atlantic Tractors and Equipment at their location in the Burnside Industrial Park.Multiserve is also a distributor of “Air Serve” tire inflators under the “Air For Charity” program.
A portion of the monies raised through these state of the art Air Inflators goes to various recognized charities and to date Multiserve has raised over $10,000 for Canadian Cystic Fibrosis from Ultramar sites where some of these inflators are installed. Since the inception of “Air For Charity”, the program has now generated over $1,000,000, which supports recognized Canadian charities.
This small but highly motivated staff has made Multiserve a leader in the petroleum industry.
This success has led to a decision to expand the staff and Multiserve is actively searching for qualified, experienced people to join their team.
“We often hear: ‘just call Multiserve and they’ll get it,' and we are really pleased about that,”. “We are a small company and we service a wide range of satisfied customers all over the Atlantic Provinces, so we are rather proud of ourselves.”
It seems that Multiserve is doing things right and that they continue to provide their many valued customers with excellent products and timely, quality service.
